    That's a risk easy to avoid- just add a bypass switch to your circuit- flipping it would connect output with input and done. :)

    No, no such option. The only way is CAN filter/translation. Module (not limited to BSI) will keep-on sending those frames even if there's no "consumer" present.

    You can't. AIO is not compatible with any other NAC version.

    That's RCC/NAC AIO radio, which is AEE2004 _AND_ AEE2010 compatible.

    Probably it will, but NAC will require another screen, in SMEG you've got resistive touch screen while in NAC it's capacitive one.

    But you do realize, that touch buttons around screen are not on CAN, but LIN instead? :) And to use them you'd need something to convert them to CAN frames, for example 308 T9 FMUX.

    Does it boot if you connect it directly (skipping arduino and connecting to CAN)?

    Probably you can't as those display are coming in different versions depending of options. However- you chould be able to jump to main menu with three-finger touch and pick navi tab from there.

    A1 version doesn't support AndroidAuto at all unfortunately.
