Hello/Salut @jeverds I have a 2008II diesel, EAT8 MY2020 (Wave4 NAC/I-cockpit 3D/CVM3 most likely) where I was able to enable all the menus in NAC that need no BSI or other ECU configuration (i.e. i-cockpit amplify, additional themes, TPMS menu, Diagnostics menu, trip/fuel consumption menu)...

I have no experience with CAN so far only with arduino and electronics in general but I had mine working right away. I saw you have a third cable connected to the connector. You only need two cables (CAN low and high) and no termination resistor nor ground if your cables are short and well...
