Yes it ask to put in N but in reality you should pur in D and accelerate brake and put in R when required. It happen to me as well, it is not full automatic, but semi automatic, try!

Thanks to these instructions, I was able to activate the Park Assist. However, I experienced some issues with the timing of the instruction. I noticed that the park assistant is not fully automatic, as I still need to put the car in either D or R gear for the steering to turn automatically...
