- The SMEG Quadlock harness to be connected on the car side:
AND
[/ SPOILER]
If you have a BTA (Autonomous Telematics Box - Peugeot Connect SOS)
The BTA 2.0 is connected via USB to the green port of the NAC on new equipped cars, it provides the network for TomTom connected services like a 3G key in addition to emergency calls. The old BTA for cars equipped with a SMEG does
not have a USB port because it does not provide the data network (the most recent cars with SMEG may have a BTA 2.0 but the USB harness is not connected to it) , it is therefore not necessary to buy any converter, if you have the BTA there is therefore no compatibility problem to be expected
The old system was as follows: the SMEG had a green USB port (all SMEGs do not have one), the harness went into the glove box and we plugged in the Peugeot 3G key for connected applications ( there were no services connected with HERE), this service is now stopped .
Changing the screen on a 308
Changing the screen is quite simple although it can be a bit scary because you have to remove the air vents to access the screws.
I recommend the tip-shaped tool from Focal, it slides easily between the chrome frame of the screen and the aerator, this will allow you to pass the other Focal tool with a small rim, then you have to leverage by pushing forward (it can be a bit scary but it's quite solid). Avoid pulling on the fins at all costs, however, a central aerator unit is very expensive

You must then unscrew the two black screws, one on the left, one on the right:
You then have to pull the chrome cover with your hands (from the inside) quite vigorously, the cover will unclip itself little by little.
You must then unclip the connectors to release the cover + screen unit, again use the Focal tip tool to gently press on the tabs and release the cable.
Once the cover + screen unit in hand, you just have to unscrew the 4 black screws behind the screen to release it completely.
Repeat the operation in reverse to install the new screen: tighten the 4 screws, reconnect the cables (the brown connector becomes useless, the keying should prevent you from making a mistake anyway). Clip the chrome cover + screen back, tighten the two black screws and clip the aerators again: it's already finished: bounce:
308 with RD6
You will need an LVDS cable to connect the screen to the NAC:

The front panel must also be replaced by the reference
96 777 660 ZD (version without slot for CD player) or
96 777 664 ZD (version with slot for CD player) in order to make the illuminated buttons on the screen functional, ventilation will become manageable. on the touch screen
Disassembly for access to SMEG on a 308 and change of the USB harness
The first step is to unclip the gear lever cover, use the larger Focal tool in (1), there is a space to push it in, then pull straight up, the rest will almost unclip by itself . Then just disengage the top trim and turn it 90 ° (2)
In the case of a manual handbrake, the principle is the same:
You must also remove the shell under the steering wheel by removing its 2 screws (do not forget to pull the steering wheel fully towards you and lower it as far as possible to be able to separate the two parts):
Remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the front panel (2), then use the special keys [1287] on both sides, in the slots provided for this purpose (this can be a bit long with poor quality keys, you have to to press):
Unscrew the two Torx screws that hold the SMEG, pull it out and disconnect all the cables (the pointed tool from the Focal kit is once again very useful for this task)
If you have the official USB harness (the adapter to bypass this step):
You can reassemble the SMEG / NAC support and CD charger by repeating the operation in reverse while bringing the blue USB harness towards you (it would be silly to get it stuck behind and have to re-dismantle the support)

Blue harness head or Chinese USB adapter go to
port 1 (e) , this port is for center console. The head of the purple beam goes to port 2, it is intended for the glove box, for the glove box tutorial
go here (nothing very complicated, you do not need to break the keys with the purple cable)
If you choose the wrong port, CarPlay will not work because it is only available on port 1 (e).
Warning (following some errors): Do NOT connect the GPS antenna (Fakra Blue tip) to the FM antenna adapter (which does not have a key to prevent connection) otherwise the active amplifier integrated into the device may burn out. the base on the roof! [/ QUOTE]
Dear member Vlud, I do not have the AUTO AC option in my 2016 Peugeot 308 and also i do not have navigation. Do I will have those 2 things if I change my smeg to NAC ? Thank you.[/QUOTE]
