Hello, newbie here, :)

I'm sorry to be writing this in english, but I can't write in french.

Does anyone know what are the biggest tyres that can be fitted on a Peugeot 206? I'm going to buy a second-hand 1999 206 Gti (2.0l), and I'd like to know what are my limits. It has 15" wheels and 185/55 tyres. According to my calculations I can go to 205/50 or 205/45 on the same wheels. Is it 215 ou 225 possible or recommendable? Are new wheels (16" or 17") an option I should consider? Does it fit in the wheel-arches if bigger than 205?

Regarding the tyres themselves, I was thinking of maybe Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (maybe too big?...), Continental SportContact2, Bridgestones RE050A or Toyo Proxes T1-R... what do you think?

I'm also looking to do some discreet and moderate tuning (internal only or mostly). Can you direct me to a good site on that?

Thank you so much for your time! :chinois:

On these wheels of 6 inches, i think, the maximum width is 205/...
Ideal size are 185 or 195.

Michelein pilot sport isn't available in this size, only Exalto. You can take this, but i advise to you to take Yokohama A539, the best report/ratio prize quality in my eyes.

Sorry for my English, i can reading a little but not to write
