NAC configuration file, possible to 'reconfigure'?

Hi All,

I was wondering if it was possible to change the configuration file for a NAC? I've been reading alot on this and some say the NAC has to come from the same 'type', others say you can change the config file. Is this true?

I'm looking at installing a NAC into my DS3, this already has a SMEGIV2 upgrade (car is from 2010). But i can not find any NAC module from a DS3 on the internet. My plan is to buy a NAC from a C3 or 208, and get the screen from a 208 and transplant the screen into my SMEG plastic.
What about the version, should i get a Wave 2 or Wave 3 if i want android auto?

Hope someone can shed some light on this...
