Hello, I would like to apologize for my bad French as it is translated from English.

I recently acquired a 407 2.0 with about 140,000 km. In the fall I noticed the car was slow to get to 90c even after 30 minutes of driving. It had an old style thermostat rated at 89c. Which was open and stuck. Upon examination I determined that the car originally had a pilot operated thermostat rated at 105c.

After the change the vehicle now gets to 90c quickly (normally). However in traffic the needle can go up to the first line (I'll call it 95c) on the obd scan tool, it reads 110c when the fan starts and drops to 100c.

The fan runs without knowing if it is on speed 1 or 2. The air conditioning works.

Only error is stored for thermostat stuck open p0597

The question is:

1. What should the normal operating temperature be on the gauge?

2. What is normal on obd?

3. When should the fan start at speeds 1 and 2? 4. Should the computer be reprogrammed to start fan speeds 1 and 2 earlier?

5. What is the procedure to burp the cooling system since it has 3 valves?

6.how to test that both fan speeds are working without pp2000?
