Recently I discovered yet another funny behaviour of my 407, this time it's the rev counter.
When I slowly accelerate, so that the engine rpm increases steadily from below 1000 up, at a rate of approx 100 rpm/second), the needle of the counter jams at around 1600 rpm for about one second, and then quickly jumps and continues rising smoothly.
The engine does not seem to be affected at all, it accelerates smoothly without problems.
This also happens in idle, if you press the accelerator lightly and watch the rev counter.
As with all my problems
, this one too cannot always be reproduced.
